Land is Registered!!!!

27 September 2016

MrK was informed that Precinct 1A (where our land and a few handful more are located) has now registered... Exciting (insert happy dance here)!!! Full steam ahead from now on as MrK has said.

This is how our new estate looks like from Google Earth and our small piece of blessing (pic below) with the grace of Jehovah God, it will be our little haven here on earth.

I think we have to communicate with our broker and our conveyancer all the way from Fiji as today, we fly to celebrate the other MrK's (hubby's brother) wedding.  Exciting and daunting going away when there are important things to do here in Sydney too.

Made our deposit for our land all the way from Fiji to Landcom.  Informed our conveyancer about the details and she will then prepare other paperworks in relation to the land.  Communications are constant between us, the conveyancer and our broker even during our holiday.

7th October 2016

A few days after arriving from our glorious Fiji holiday, more paperworks for MrK and I to sign had landed on my work email from our conveyancer. Time is of an essence and if only we both don't work then these paperworks will be done straight away but then again, without it how can we have our house hahaha.

8th October 2016

Just got back from our builder ...everything is getting real.. we even have an address already and all that paperworks just keeps coming. Today, we received our tender as well as paid Beechwood to make all necessary paperworks as 04.11.2016 is our deadline - aka land settlement and because our bank granted us approval for both the land and the house build (yes just one loan for both which our broker was not happy about, but oh well, I am hoping that paperworks will be sufficient when the time comes for them to deliver the goods to Landcom.
Just the same, we are very grateful and thankful for all these blessings from  Jehovah God.

  1. Just came across your blog... We are onsjdering of building with BWH as well and have received our initial tender. Just wondering if your current construction costs have increased a lot compared from the initial tender. BWH seems upfront with their costs and provision allowances but still worried about possible variations along the way that will cause 10s or thousands of additional costs..

    1. Hi Unknown :)
Not at all. Your tender will be maintained or will remain unchanged for the amount that you have agreed on with Beechwood with no change for 180 days from the time that they hand your first tender. We had a few (yes only a few) upgrades but the rest, we think we can change after handover. Goodluck on your build and thanks for dropping by :)
